Fun Freebies-Skate rental is included in the party package! Roller skating is a sure way for birthday guests to have fun! Many times even apprehensive first time skaters have so much fun that they want to come back. This is not a problem because the birthday guest of honor has a chance to give back to the party guests with a free skating pass!

No Clean Up-We know that hosting a birthday party at home takes a lot of time, energy, and money. In fact, according to Parents.com many parents seem to prefer to avoid the hassle in preparing their home, all of the food, games, and taking care of clean up. The good news is that avoiding all of that is easy to do when you book a party at Skate Ranch or Skate-O-Rama. We do the clean up for you! All you have to do is sit back and relax, or if you want you can skate too!

As the premier roller skating rinks in Lufkin and Nacogdoches, we make it our business to know skating related information. We recently discovered that the Boy Scouts of America offer a merit badge for skating. This badge can be earned through ice skating, roller skating, or inline skating. We are, of course, partial to the roller skating and inline skating options because both of our rinks happen to offer up a fantastic facility for earning that badge!

While we did not see a skating merit badge for the Girl Scouts, we did find an I Love Rollerskating patch! We think this is a pretty spectacular way to celebrate roller skating!

With Girl Scout Week coming up in March, and with a skating badge that Boy Scouts can work toward, it is no wonder that Skate Ranch and Skate-O-Rama see so many scout troops come through our doors during this time of year. We would like to formally welcome any scouts, troops, and other groups and organizations to join us for roller skating.

Private Group Events

We offer private parties for group events Monday through Thursday. This is a fantastic time for scouts, church groups or corporate outings. Contact our rinks for more information.

Fundraising Opportunities

In addition to offering private parties for groups, we are also happy to partner with schools and other organizations for fundraising. Each fundraising need is a little different, and we are happy to coordinate and customize accordingly. Please fill out our online fundraising information for further details.

The next day that students have off within the Lufkin Independent School District is Monday, Feb. 16. This day happens to be Presidents’ Day! Established in 1885 to recognize the birthday of George Washington, this holiday now celebrates all presidents of past and present!

Presidents’ Day Skate

Since school is out for students, Lufkin’s own Skate Ranch will be open on Monday, Feb. 16 from 1pm to 6pm for your skating fun! We’re feeling presidential, and in honor of Presidents’ Day all it will take for your admission to our extra skating session is one Abe Lincoln ($5 bill) and a George Washington ($1 bill) for skate rental!

Don’t worry, you don’t have to have just an Abe Lincoln and a George Washington! We accept other bills, coins, and cards. What you really need to know is that for only six dollars you’ll have admission and skate rental covered for five hours of skating fun!

Kids Skate Free

This is a great opportunity to take advantage of the fact that Skate Ranch is a Kids Skate Free roller skating rink. If you haven’t signed up yet, we want to encourage you to sign up for Kids Skate Free! As a result, you’ll get weekly skating passes delivered into your inbox. You may use these on Presidents’ Day for free skating as well as at many of our other great skating sessions!

Party Time

As always, Skate Ranch is the ideal place for birthday parties in Lufkin. Why not kill two birds with one stone, and celebrate a birthday and a day off of school at the same time? We are currently booking birthday parties for February and have opened additional birthday party slots during our Presidents’ Day Skate. It’s that time of year again! Whether you love it or cringe at the thought of it, there’s no getting by the fact that Valentine’s Day occurs every Feb. 14.

We think it is better to have fun over being miserable on this day, so we’re hosting our very own Sweet Heart Skate at Skate Ranch in Lufkin! Whether you have a date, or come with a group of friends, there’ll be games, prizes, and fun. All night long you’ll have the opportunity to dedicate songs to the one you love for free, and if you’re not glowing in love you’ll be glowing with our Sweet Heart Skate glow sticks!

Wear All Red for a Kiss!

Everyone deserves a kiss on Valentine’s Day, and everyone deserves chocolate on Valentine’s Day. Join us for our Sweet Heart Skate from 8-11pm on Feb. 14 with all red on and you’ll get a chocolate kiss from us!

We hope to see you out for our Valentine’s Day Sweet Heart Skate at Skate Ranch in Lufkin! The evening will be full of fun and there will be plenty of opportunity for a fun photo op with our photo booth!

Winter break is over, but we’ve got another school holiday coming up in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We wanted to make sure you knew that the Nacogdoches Independent School District and the Lufkin Independent School District are closed on Jan. 19. If you are wondering what to do with your little, or not-so-little, ones that will be home on Monday, consider bringing them out to Skate Ranch in Lufkin or Skate-O-Rama in Nacogdoches!

We’ll be skating from 12pm-4pm at both rinks. Admission is only $5, and skate rental is an additional $3. Our full service concession stand will be open with lots of tasty treats! You won’t even have to worry about lunch!

Super Savings

We are a Kids Skate Free rink, and we’ll be accepting Kids Skate Free passes on Monday during our special holiday skate! That’s right, your child can skate for free on Monday the 19th! If you have not already signed up, all you have to do is visit the Kids Skate Free website, sign up, and validate your email address. After those simple steps, just check your email inbox late Sunday night or Monday morning to print off your free skating passes.

A.C. Speaks! FUNdraiser 

Skate Ranch is hosting the annual fundraiser on October 12th from 6:00-8:00pm.  Come out and support several non-profit organizations including Operation Christmas Child, Seasons of Hope, Joseph House, and more! Costumes are encouraged, you can even win a door prize! Silent auction, face painting, games and races are just a few of the fun activities for the night. These are great causes to help while kicking off the giving season. Admission is $10 for skaters, which includes rentals, and $5 for non-skaters.

Skate-O-Rama Halloween Festival

Since Scare on the Square is no longer, we’ve been invited to participate in another Halloween festival event on October 31st, 5:30-7:30pm. You can find us, and numerous other local businesses, at the corner of University and Main St. in Nacogdoches. We’re teaming up with the local martial arts studio and having our own Halloween Hometown Festival! Come one, come all! Play games, win candy and prizes!

Skate Ranch Zombie Halloween Late Skate

After you’ve collected all the candy you can outdoors, come inside at Skate Ranch! We’ll be open until from 6:00pm – 12:00am for those who like to celebrate into the wee hours. Admission until 10:00pm is $7, if you want to stay late it’s only $5 more!.  Who wants to take their costumes off at 6:00pm?! We don’t! Enjoy Halloween themed games like Candy Scramble, win a chance on the Prize Wheel, or maybe the best costume contest? Open to all ages, young at heart, and those of us who just love Halloween(and candy).

Halloween Party Part Deux

For all our ‘lil skaters who couldn’t stay up too late on Halloween night, Skate Ranch is hosting an afternoon shindig, too! Technically it’s November 1st for this party, but we’re doing it anyway. You can find it at Skate Ranch in Lufkin from 12:30-5:00pm, admission is $5.  Wear your costumes, get as much use out of them as you can! All the kiddos can take part in another round of candy scramble, Halloween treats and games.

Who doesn’t love free stuff?! Skate Ranch and Skate-O-Rama offer several opportunities for you to get roller skating with little to NO cash out of your pocket. It’s getting close to the holidays, we won’t stop skating, but we can save you money!

Kids Skate Free

– This is the easiest way to skate free if you’re 12 years and younger. Have your parents sign you up! You’ll get 2 free admission passes per week, per child. If you have your own skates you’ll get in totally FREE! Here’s the Kids Skate Free website to sign up.

Rink Passes

– At Christmas Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break passes are taken to schools, posted online, and handed out at the rinks. During Late Skates we offer free admission passes as prizes and every birthday party guest receives a free admission pass. Even the summer reading program at the local libraries offer passes for goals. Be on the lookout for all these passes, they’re everywhere. And, they’re like money in your wallet. Check back to our website and look in your child’s backpacks! Each pass gets you FREE admission, if you have your own skates you’ll get in at no cost!

Gift Certificates

– Is it time to fill out your Christmas list? Birthday wish? Getting good grades?! Tell your family and friends you want a gift certificate to Skate Ranch or Skate-O-Rama! Gift certificates are offered in any amount and good until you use up the face value. This will cover your admission and if you bring your own skates, you can get in FREE again. Gift certificates are even accepted at the Snack Stop! Order gift certificates online for Skate-O-Rama and Skate Ranch or at the rinks.

Purchase Skates

– Owning your own pair of quads or inline skates comes with benefits. Every pass, coupon, or discount rate we offer comes with an additional skate rental fee. Why pay for rentals? Own a pair of skates, use a coupon and get in FREE. You’ll never have to wear a rental and your size is always in stock. We Sell Skates! Catalogues available at the rink, or an online version.

We love to see families and friends coming to the rinks. Limbo and races are always better with a big crowd! The more the merrier. Parents and children 4 years and younger only pay $3 skate rentals if they choose to skate. Remember to keep track of any pass or coupon you get from us.
