Skate-O-Rama is in Nacogdoches, Texas. The building is original with the addition of the snack bar and party side added a few years after opening. A complete remodel (saving only the roof, walls and original beautiful white maple skate floor) started in the fall of 2013. The rink reopened New Year’s Day 2014 after completion.

Originally opened by Mrs. E. McCurry on September 10th, 1966, SKATARAMA as it was known, changed hands several times until David & Sigrid “Sig” Semien purchased the business from James & Lola Stover in 2012. As of April 1st, 2025 Adam & Amanda Boyle have been running the rink as their own.

Skate Ranch is in Lufkin, Texas. The building is also original, sized at 100×200. No major remodels have taken place as Skate Ranch has had a continuous upgrading system in place.

Open January 1st, 1974 and named Hot Wheels, James & Lola Stover moved to Texas from the east coast and purchased the rink. Reopening and renaming the rink to 3 J’s Skateland on September 1st, 1974. While changing hands a few times since 1974 and getting a final name of Skate Ranch, the Stover’s made a sold to David & Sigrid “Sig” Semien in September of 2012. James “PaPaw” and Lola “Granny” Stover took their well deserved retirement.
